Michael and Maggie - Executive Directors of Pilgrim Hall In autumn 2009, Memralife Group embraced its newest family member - Pilgrim Hall Christian Conference Centre in Easons Green, East Sussex.

We recently caught up with Michael and Maggie Lee, joint executive directors of Pilgrim Hall Christian conference centre. Here's their introduction to the newest member of the Memralife Group...

Tell us a little about Pilgrim Hall
and what you do?

It's a Christian conference centre set in a delightful country house in East Sussex.

We welcome churches, mission groups and other organisations for conferences, away-days, seminars and houseparties.

We can accommodate up to 125 people in rooms that vary from economy to very luxurious.

So you're just down the road from
the Memralife Group offices?

Yes, we're based just outside Uckfield in
East Sussex, which is easily accessed by car from
the M25 and the south coast.

Gatwick is also not far away and there's a rail
station close by.

From the photos on the website,
it looks like a truly beautiful setting?

From our large meeting hall you can view the South Downs. We're surrounded by rural beauty and our guests love to stroll round the grounds or play croquet in their spare time.

The house itself is over 100 years old and has some beautiful rooms accessed from the magnificent wood-panelled Baronial Hall.

How does Pilgrim Hall come to be
part of the Memralife Group?

Last year our Trustees recognised that we needed to reach a wider audience and to start offering a different style of event.

Talking with our friends at Memralife we saw the tremendous potential for all concerned as Spring Harvest is keen to offer smaller creative conferences and events.

Also Memralife has a division called Essential Events Management which will be starting to stage events here soon.

So what's on offer in the future?

Churches, charities and mission groups can come here for residential conferences in a peaceful and elegant setting; business seminars and local authority day conferences are a welcome part of our work here; individuals can book into our themed houseparties which include time for reflection, worship and God's Word.

And we're delighted to be hosting new events in conjunction with Spring Harvest, such as an All-Age Worship training weekend and a midweek creative retreat.
